The 15th meeting of the Central, Eastern and Southeastern European Insurance Supervision Initiative (CESEE) will take place on Tuesday, June 12^th 2018 in Tirana, and will be hosted by the Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority (AFSA).

The meeting will be attended by representatives of the regulatory and supervisory authorities from Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe who will discuss the recent development of the insurance market and the challenges faced by the supervisors.

The discussion panel is divided into four sessions, two of which will be moderated by the heads of AFSA relevant directorates. The thematic sessions comprise discussions on the topics as follows:

Fit and Proper issuers (criteria, challenges) – Board members, Key Function Holders and Qualifying shareholders;
How to reduce MTPL concentration in the Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe markets;

Quality management and control activities of distribution networks in insurance companies in light of the new IDD regulation;

Risk scoring system for regulatory purposes.

This meeting will serve to discuss the challenges and best practices of regulators in terms of the implementation of new supervisory regimes and the challenges faced by the insurance market in the region.
